My husband and I live on the South Shore of Long Island, New York. I am a lifetime gardener, landscape designer and consultant, garden author and retired educator of 32 years. After fourteen years of teaching, I expanded on my lifetime passion. It started with the revamping of the landscape of my childhood home, where my husband and I reside, followed by requests from friends and neighbors to assist them with the design of their gardens. Over time, I realized that designing gardens was something that came naturally to me. Through the encouragement of family and friends, I furthered my education in horticulture and design and pursued a second career as landscape designer. I started up my business, which grew by word of mouth and became what it is today.
Today, with over twenty-five years in the field, I continue to stay current in horticulture through attending professional conferences, reading horticultural publications, membership in professional organizations and my continued involvement in the horticultural industry.
With shovel in hand since the age of five my love for creating continues to grow. I have furthered my passion through a new interest in garden photography and writing over the past several years and enjoy communicating with others about what I love best.
When not designing I can be found in my own gardens planning the next addition...a never-ending process. "A garden is an extension of its owner...a thing of beauty that constantly changes and can be enjoyed forever..."
